HERS Training Classes
The CBPCA began teaching whole-house based home performance classes in California in 2004, long before most “energy experts” had ever heard the term. Now, everyone from the Federal government to the California Energy Commission to local municipalities recognize that the whole-house approach provides the best return on dollars invested in reducing the State’s energy demand.
Because the CBPCA grew out of efforts to produce real energy savings using the whole-systems approach, all of our classes are stress the theory of energy efficiency as well as the practical skills needed to become an energy efficiency professional.
If you want to become just a HERS rater, you can take classes from anyone. If you want to launch your career as a true energy efficiency professional, you will find a home and like-minded people at the CBPCA.
